Alpe d'Huez boasts some of the best cycling trails both downhill and uphill. The town enjoys blue skies so often that it is called the island of sunshine and is famous in the Southern Alps.
In summer the resort boasts 220km of trails. Including the famous 21 hairpins of the Tour de France and the step decents of the Mega Avalanche. There is no other resort that has better variety of cycling.
It also regularly hosts large events and competitions, as well as the Tour there is also the famous Marmottes and other tri athelon events. ADH is one of the worlds largest cyclable areas click here for the piste map.

Other Facilities The mountains provide a huge range of activities during the summer. There is outstanding white water rafting from beginner to expert grades, many many different climbing and walking routes and some spectacular para gliding The Lesuire Center of ADH contains many facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, squash courts, bowls, and table tennis. There is also a very well equipt gym, sports hall, and a full size ice skating rink, so you will never be short of activity if thats what your after.
